Kurpark Reichenau / Pavillon / Boat trips

1892: The Kurpark was cultivated as a special jewel by landscape gardener Franz Erban.

The artificial portion with the "Lenau-Insel", the shadowy park path, and above all the pavilion built in 1903 have made the park into one of the most popular meeting places for Reichenaus summer community. Youll encounter Arthur Schnitzler, Felix Salten, Bertha von Suttner sitting on benches in the park.

Renowned artists, writers, and scientists like Johann Nestroy, Arthur Schnitzler, Gustav Mahler, Ferdinand Raimund, Peter Altenberg, Oskar Kokoschka, Franz Werfel, Sigmund Freud, Theodor Herzl, Heimito von Doderer, Karl Farkas, Ernst Fuchs (just to name a few), live or lived, love or loved, and are or were inspired by this wonderful landscape.
